It's Been Awhile....
Well it's fall here again and I've neglected this blog for about a year... my life has been so crazy this past year and I've made a lot of big changes. To start off I've become a licensed esthetician in the state of NH and I've landed a great job that allows me to do what I love to do! In this past year I've also honed in on my makeup artistry skills and feel as though I've improved greatly! I'll be trying to post on here more often and do some reviews of new products that I try out so anyone who reads this can try them out too. So for now I'll post a quick selfie of a nice fall makeup look that I recently created and if you guys like it let me know, ill go into more detail on a separate post!

Quick Before and After
So I know most of this blog has been pictures of makeup on myself but I've finally gotten some models so I can do some quick makeup applications on them!
For this look on Bryanna I kept it really simple and added just a touch of purple to brighten it up! For the brows I used my favorite product ever, Anasastia Beverly Hills dipbrow pomade in soft brown! For her eyes I used a matte brown shade in her crease, a more shimmery brown shade on her lid and then added black matte shadow on the outer V to add more depth without having to add any liner. On the bottom lash line I added a purple liner and then smoked it out just a tad with a purple shadow. We decided that a neutral lip was best for this look so I took a MAC mineralized lipstick and a NARS gloss over it! She loved the look and it was perfect for a quick daytime look, just add a little top liner or a more bold lip to spice it up for an evening look!

Fall Ombré Lips
The fall and winter time are perfect for breaking out that dark lip color that you've been dying to wear but didn't think you could pull it off in the summer. And it adds a little pop of color for those dark dreary winter days. Winter is a good time for experimenting with makeup to keep your spirits up on those cold days!
In this look I did a simple red ombré lip and a little winged eyeliner to spice it up a bit!
The easiest and quickest way to get an ombré lip without having to use several different lipsticks? EYESHADOW! all you need is your base lip color then just darker eyeshadows for the outer corners! It adds the ombré effect and gives you long lasting color! to make the middle of the lip pop even more just add a little bit of white eyeshadow for a highlight! It's so simple and makes it look like it took a ton of work!

Bridal Party
This morning I was lucky enough to work with a group of ladies in a bridal party! Let me start this off with saying that they were some of the most easy going group of girls to work with and I'm so thankful for that. They all wear quite simple makeup or even no makeup in their day to day routine so all I did was play up their natural features!

Blue Ombrè
Spring and summer trends are upon us and one that I have been noticing is colored and ombrè eyeliner! I'm usually the girl who always has the jet black cat eye but I was feeling a little colorful and tried out something fun. AND I'm totally obsessed with it and I wish it was acceptable to have this match what I'm wearing every day of my life. Seriously, I love it that much. It makes me feel fierce as hell and it adds some color to my normal routine. AND IT WAS SUPER EASY. I used three different eyeliners and just blended them together to create this look.
p.s close up eye pictures aren't my forte, they just look awkward HAH

Wedding Season
Ahhh summer seems to be the peak of wedding season! I was able to help out a close family friend with her makeup for a wedding she was attending, and it seemed to be taking her a little longer than most to get out of that winter rut. But we found a look to spice up her normal routine a little bit and make her stand out! We decided on a subtle smokey eye for this evening wedding and it seemed to totally change her mood :) It was easy and really fun to create because of her big gorgeous eyes, I mean look at them #jealous

Hashtag No Makeup
Makeup is definitely not a necessity. We love using it to try new things and make ourselves feel better but going a day without a drop of makeup on is always a good thing. A naked face is a beautiful face. Although I understand sometimes it could be hard, I encourage you to walk out of the house with a nakey face, it's freeing (almost as freeing as taking your bra off at the end of the day) and you're able to rub your eyes without worrying that you're about to look like a crazy panda! (you all know what I mean) Recently I've been seeing memes about before and after pictures of girls with and without makeup on with the caption "makeup causes trust issues". UM EXCUSE ME NO. What causes trust issues is girls seeing this s#!t and thinking that they can't go out without a pound of makeup on because guys won't think they're pretty. NEWS FLASH BOYZ we're not on this planet to please you or make sure our makeup is fitting to YOUR standards. #nomakeup revolution. Let's see those beautiful naked (faced) selfies!
love ya babies, till next time! ❤
